Don’t forget to explore outside…
Our garden and native woodland are lovingly managed by volunteers for wildlife and visitors. The garden is planted to attract birds and pollinating insects: butterflies, moths, bumble bees and particularly honeybees.
Wander through the beautiful grounds and you could spot nesting pied flycatchers in spring, bats at dusk and our wildlife pond with frogs, newts and dragonflies. There are benches in just the right place for you to relax, looking over to Moel Siabod, breathing the fresh Snowdonia air, listening to birdsong and the rustling of small mammals and insects in the undergrowth – or just enjoying the flowers.
Our small bee hives have been carefully placed in the woodland away from paths – please don’t disturb our busy bees at work.
Be inspired, exercised and refreshed.
At Tŷ Hyll, our volunteers work hard to maintain and enhance the bee-friendly garden (see our gallery for images) and to improve the woodland for wildlife and visitors. Our wildlife gardeners meet every Monday, and we hold regular work days for other tasks. Please contact us if you would like to volunteer at Tŷ Hyll.
